Jee Young Lee: dreamcatcher

I dream a lot, in colors with all the details ... so I fall in love with Jee Young Lee's "dream" artwork immediately.

She is a Korean artist recently graduated from Seoul’s Hongik University. For weeks, sometimes for months she creates the small studio space (3 x 6 m) with all hand made details to present her ideas, experiences, visions from dreams, fantasies, Korean folk tales ...with a psychedelic touch.

It is a big challenge but what a fantastic result!!! 

"Ressurection" is my favorite. It refers to rebirth by vanquishing negativity symoblized by  a girl in lotus flower.

Her Photographs have been already exhibited at Kyoto Photographic Museum in Japan, the Incheon Foundation for Art and Culture, or even Seoul’s OCI Museum.  

She will have a one-week pop-up solo show in New York, in collaboration with the fashion line Alice + Olivia, on July 21-27.
