Premiere Vision: Can inspiration become obsession ? trends ss 2015

Premiere Vision is the world's premier fabric show. It highlights fabrics for the clothing sector and presents the offer twice a year in New York, Sao Paulo, Paris and Shanghai.

This year I visited Paris show which took place from 18 to 20 February 2014 at Parc d'Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte to present the fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2015 .

There were really a lot of different kinds of fabrics, textures and  prints. I wanted to have them all ... touching, feeling ... and being inspired. It is one of the best places to search for trends so the main ones with visuals you can find below.

Fabrics:

airy:  openwork,  transparency, sheer and weightless; lace, mesh, open-weave knits, pleats

dimentional texture: bonded lace, iridescent fabrics, blurry 3D effect patterns

double faced: combining texture and transparency

textural: piqué, metalessé, jacquard

shiny surface

laser-perforated and elaborated

coated and laminated: silk, knits, embroideries (silicon lace)

dusted shading, bleached and poorly ironed looks

 

 

Key prints:

insects, vegetation, floral, palm trees, aquatic, free hand drawings, bold graphics and geometrics,

stripes, moiré, miniaturized prints

 

 

 

 

Key colors:

major : coral

mix of pastels: baby pink, minty teal, lilac,ivory with bright colors: cobalt, tomato, teal, yellow, chartreuse, coral

 

 

 

 

Macarons are the best why to taste the colors when in Paris :-)
