When shoes go wild and Asia meets Poland
If you are
looking for inspiration and want to spend nice time in nature but in the same time in the city, The Open Air
Gallery of the Royal Lazienki Museum in Warsaw is for you. Traditionally in
summer (till 31.08) you can see there nice exhibitions. This year is “Asian era”
and two artist: U.G. Sato from Japan and Jianping He from China – different cultures,
different generations but one universal visual language of symbols, shapes and
colors.

If you are
lucky to visit “Lazienki” on Sunday you can listen to free Chopin concerts
held at noon and 4 pm till late September.

U.G. Sato
(b. 1935 in Tokyo, Japan). In 1960 he graduated from the Kuwasawa School of
Design; in 1975 he established a design studio under the name Design Farm. He
is an illustrator, designer of posters, books, publications, logos, visual
communication, packaging and 3D objects. He is a committed environmentalist and
pacifist. He has participated in many prestigious solo and group exhibitions. *
Jianping He (b. 1973 in Fuyang, China). In
the years 1991–1994 he studied at the China Academy of Art and then at the
University of Arts in Berlin (1997–2001). In 2011 he obtained his doctorate in
the field of Cultural History at the Free University of Berlin. He lectures at
art schools in Berlin, Hangzhou and Hong Kong. In 2002 he founded the Hesign
design studio in Berlin, and in 2005 and 2008 he established branches in
Shanghai and Hangzhou. He designs and publishes posters and books, is curator
of exhibitions in Europe and China. *
